Back to school, an easel/bookcard

Its time for

                                     #66 Back to school

                                         over at Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog

I first made a easelcard, but realized; why not make something more out of the "Back to School" theme? So I combined it with a bookcard! The buttons serves as a "stopper" for the easel, and as a closing mechanism for the extended side of the bookcasing.

When cutting the frame for the image, I didn't cut the bottom but curled it. I really liked this effect with the DP.

Flip the easel back to open the bookcard. Image below is taken before I decorated the inside.

And a closeup of the beautiful Chrystal Crystalwisk Fairy;

Pop over to the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog and have a look at all the beautiful cards from rest of the DT, and join us in the fun! You don't have to use an image from Lacy Sunshine Stamps to join us, but we love it when you do! And don't forget the loyalty programme in which if you used a LS image in the last challenge you can claim the current giveaway for free!

Brrrr- freezing cold

GOOD MORNING LACIES!!!

It was a lovely day with a gentle breeze making the grass wave, but all of a sudden black clouds and icy wind came out of the north! What could it be but an evil force coming to wreak havoc in the garden? It must be Frostbite, the evil villainess, and why is she freezing the sweet Flower Pot Pretties and bloomin beauties?!? Snow is falling everywhere, and the icy wind blasted open the doors of the green house! How can we save the Flower Pot Pretties? What can be done to save summer?
We must Hop! With everyone hopping and spreading Sunshine we might
have a chance to save the Flower Pot Pretties from Frostbite!

Today Color Your World is having another FUN Blog Hop combining the talented Design Team and the talented Creative Team!

Lacy Sunshine's greenhouse containing all the FLOWER POT PRETTY'S has been frozen
by a magical snow storm at the end of August

We have a fantastic grand prize on offer for the lucky winner and lots of digi prizes to giveaway at the end of this hop, so its definitely worth your while hopping along with us all.

Digi Prizes

Each hop stop Creative team Designer and Design Team Designer will pick one commentor from their blog and that lucky person will win a digi of their choice

Only those who comment on all the blogs will go forward to a LIVE random drawing held on August 3o and the winners picked out by Heather.

I have used Snowdrop Flowerpot Pretty, and colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils. Luckily enough I found some cardstock in the perfect shade to coordinate with the snow in the image. I punched out some snowflakes and added them to opposite corners using 3d gluepads. On top of the image I layered up two sheets with Frosted Film (Tim Holtz)- so a nice shimmer effect over the image. As a last finishing touch; small bling in the center of the snowflakes

The recipe for you;

Breathe...

Hi, here is my DT card for this weeks sketch challenge over at The Outlawz.

I have used "Bed of Autumn leaves" from our sponsor, and colored it up with my prismacolor pencils. I love how this card turned out!

I used transparent Dymo for the sentiment. "Pust ut" means Breathe out, relax, take a time out... I punched butterflies from 3 different designpaper (scraps).

Here is the sketch:

So pop over and join in using the sketch!

Weird and Whimsical- this is my place!

Hello, busy days for me with a lot going on. I'm moving, so living in chaos and when even more is added to the pile of things to deal with... I'm 3 days late with my project!

Welcome to

I used Ronnie (click her name), one of the Bad Girls. And I wanted to use her, and her attitude, to make this for my craftroom door. My cats LOVES to play around in there, hopefully they stay out... after learning to read. Well, thats my next project LOL :)

Ronnie is colored up with Prismacolor pencils, and I made my own scenery. Not perfect at all, but its my first time trying something like this and we all have to start somewhere.

I lost track of the colors I used, so have to do some reconstruction before I add the recipe for you. But I remember using my Dymo, and black, bluegrey-ish and red Bazzill. And close-to-dry-crackle paint for the chicken wire stencil ;)

Here is the recipe:

Flowers with Sweetpea Stamps (TTPH DT)

Hi, it's midmonth and time for some inspiration over at the Through The Purple Haze.

Theme for August is FLOWERS!!

This was a real challenge, and it didnt end up as planned- but I'm happy with it. The frame is a cutting file from Silhouette store, so are the roots that I added to the frame. I colored Shikoba with Prismacolor pencils, and added some flowers and a ribbon bow. The moon (part of digi but cut out and placed behind the branches) got some Diamond Glaze.

I used Shikoba by Charmiane Flannery and this image is to be found over at our sponsor

You find our challenge post HERE and the midmonth inspiration post HERE.

 WELCOME IN :)

O' Hoy- it's pirate parrot!

Today I would like to share my very first card for a new company in the digistamp world;

This little cute parrot made me giggle, and I just had to color it! Embellished with some real fishingnet, some colored feathers and an anchor I created a birthday card with the sentiment "O'Hoy Grattis"  (Grattis = Congrats).

Look, the parrot does a happydance- for the world to see!

A close up of the image;

It's a bird, it's a plane - no! It's Nightflyer!

Hello lovlies! Back from my little trip up north in Norway, and on better internet! So I gotta get started blogging ;)

This forthnight we have an exciting theme over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog:

#64: SUPERHERO!!!

I used the image called "Nightflyer" - I loved it since I saw it the first time and just had to get it. But I didn't use it as intended- on a card for a paramedic I know.

My community suffered a great lost in July- 3 young people, 16-19 years old, died in a late night car crash. So I colored this as "therapy to self" instead. The elements on this card speaks for themself when you know the reason behind. The clock diecut- life can be short. The  feather- how fast thing can change (blow on a feather and you understand), the backing paper is embossed using an embossingfolder with cracks. All the teenagers in the community had some sort of relationship to one or more of those we lost. Glitter and a white gel pen is also used. As I said; its my therapycard...
