Adventcalendar in burlap/Adventskalender i strie

Through The Purple Haze Challenges

(You have till the end of the month to join the challenge)

Hi, my midmonth inspiration post is a bit late, but here it is:

I used two burlap sacks used for coffee back in the old days.
I washed them first inside of a bag to avoid dust problem. Then I cutted the sacks in the size I wanted and bleached them. I had to borrow my mothers sewing machine for this project :)
I made stencils with my Cameo and painted numbers and hearts on the cute little bags. Finally I added strings to be able to close the bags on top.

Thanks for looking/Takk for at du kikket innom!

Glitter, glam and sparkle

Today I wanna show you "Glimmermist" from the Curvaceous Christmas Fairies collection from Make It Crafty to remind you about the challenge over at Make It Colourful

I colored this beauty up before the release, and she is finally on a card. Ok, it's NOT a card. She is soon ready to hang on the wall.

She is colored up with Prismacolor pencils. The background is made with a stencil, white Distress Paint and glitter. For her wings I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam "Chandelier". It was not easy getting a pic that shows you the glimmer effect on her wings, but after some work I managed it.

I'll join following challenges:

Tic Tac Toe and Happy Hour!

#71 Tic Tac Toe- 3 in a row

Welcome to a new challenge over at Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog. Here is the Tic Tac Toe Board that you have to use for this challenge. You only need to use 3 in a row.

I have used the image LilMiss Sangria from the Happy Hour Collection. While I colored her I was singing along “Are you with me”, a song by Lost Frequencies. No Mexico or Margarita in my project, but inspired by the song; yes! But even though, many times I was wondering: why on earth picj this image with so much glass! Well, I needed practice coloring glass...
I colored her up with my Prismacolor pencils, fuzzy cut the image and added stickles. With so many colors going on I was really afraid, but it turned out ok. After all, its Happy Hour!

Will add my recipe later today when my other computer is up and running :)

Christmas Fairies with Make It Crafty

November. Nothing beats a sunny, warm November day! The trees have lost their leaves, and the nights gets colder and colder. But during day- magic still happens! Today I was counting swans down on the lake. 18 white, elegant birds... They are just beautiful!
I have coloured up a brand new fairy for a Instagram hop that happens today, so if you want a chance to win a lovely price- get on Instagram and search for @mispasttimes to get you started.
So here she is, Christmas Fairy Twinklefly!

Her hair was quite a challenge, it's really not a design I'm used to- but it doesn't make it less AWESOME! Twinklefly has some friends, Icedancer, Glimmermist, Stardust and Silverflame- what an awesome collection fairies! You NEED them all ;)

I coloured Twinklefly with Prismacolor pencils, added stickles to her wings and fluffystuff (bubbles when treated with heat) on the white parts of her clothing. Finally I popped her up with 3D gluepads. The sentiment is a rubberstamp from Bildmålarne saying "Merry Christmas". Papers are from Panduro.

Thanks for stopping by, I love to read your thoughts about this project :)

Cold Outside/ Hot Inside

New month and a new challenge over at

November is, at least her in Norway, a nice time to start the heater inside. Because outside it's getting colder for every day. My car already have the winter tyres on, it has already been some accidents due to ice on roads- better safe than sorry!

Theme for the month is

Cold Outside/ Hot Inside

Our sponsor is
KennyK shop badge

I used “Prisoner of Love” from our sponsor KennyK, I just loved it from the moment I saw it! If this doesn’t make it a bit warmer inside, what would? *teehee*

It’s colored up with Prismacolor Pencils.

Papers are Bo Bunny and Basic Grey.

So, remember to join in over at
Through The Purple Haze Challenges

Thank you for looking, I love reading your thoughts about this project!

Once Upon A Dream

Do you love fairytales?
If you do, we have THE challenge for you over at Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog!

#70 Once Upon A Dream

I used "Rory- I need my beauty sleep" and colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils using the no-line technique.

Among my stash I found some old fluffy stuff, you know- the kind that pops when using the heatgun.

Spooky GDT for Craft Rocket Challenge

Haha, no, I'm not spooky! But the theme over at CRC are! Spooky!

I am happy to join Craft Rocket Challenges as a GDT for this challenge. CRC is a new challengeblog on the block, with a very talented owner and Design Team! Make sure to visit them!

I used a great image from Make It Crafty called "Frazzled Cat". I had quite some job to figure out HOW on earth print on black paper... (I still want a printer with white ink!). Papers are Bo Bunny, luckily in matching colors (!) since I tend to color first and then hunt down matching papers.

I love using black. Black papers, black pencils, black markers... for everything, not only shading. After "converting" entirely to Prismacolor pencils, my huge amount of Promarkers collect dust. This time I picked up my Black and Cool Grey 5 (Promarkers).
So how did I do this?
1. Printed the image as usual
2. Used the Cool Grey 5 to trace the black lines of the image
3. With the black marker; I colored the entire background and inside of the image, leaving a thin rim for the cool grey to show where the lines are. You might have to this several times to get a even layer of black... (I have several black markers, so not afraid of using them *lol*)
4. Picked up my pencils to make the fur. I used White and greys. For the eyes and wings I used a dark green, and a light green yellowish pencil to make the eyes really pop in the darkness...
5. To make some areas in the black more shiny, I used my black pencil.

Other solutions: If your not afraid of using a lot of printer ink, you can manipulate the image to show white lines on black background. Or if you have a Silhouette, or similar machine, use a white pen instead of cutting blade ( I used that feature on my retired Silhouette, but not on my new Cameo. I totally forgot I had this option when making this coloring... )

That's it from me, thank you for reading!
Thank you to Lisa and CRC for this GDT spot, I wish you all the best :)

Autumn Fairy

Autumn fairy
Hi, here is some inspiration for the Bright Colours Challenge at Make It Colourful.
I have used a freebie that came along with a MiC Newsletter, how naughty of me! For me she is a autumn fairy, so I gave her autumn colours. I’m usually not so happy with yellow and orange but no rules without exeptions!
She is colored up with Prismacolor Pencils  and I added some stickles along the edges. cardmaking is pretty difficult due to a hand injury, so colouring only for me. Hopefully my hand will get better soon, at least the sensation is coming back slowly.
Thanks for popping by!

Bright colors with Make It Crafty

Hi all :)
I'm enjoying my time over at MiC and today its time for a new Make It Colourful challenge!

Theme is BRIGHT COLOURS, and bright it will be :)

I used lovely "Tiny Lina" for this card, she is such a beauty!

I will get back to you with the list of Prismacolor pencils I used for this project :)

Happy colouring!

Hi everyone!

Its OCTOBER!!! The months passes by so quickly now that its hard to keep up! I assume thats better than waiting for the clock to tick, but it would be nice if it didnt go quite so fast lol

Through The Purple Haze is back with a new challenge today, and theme is

So if you dont "do" Halloween, you have an option :)

I am very found of "The Walking Dead", so when I had a chance to play with Glamzombie from our faboulous sponsor The East Wind, I was a very happy chick!

Glamzombie was fun to color, but difficult with the variety of textiles and directions of them. But I think I did it ok.

The card is simple, the image, and some layers of black bazzill and a greenyellowish bazzill. For the edges I used my black gelatos and smeared it towards the center. I made an background for the image using a picture as color inspiration, keeping the colors in greenyellowish and grey.

Mermaids and Christmas

Hi, time for a new challenge over at the

I have two projects to show you today, so better get started!

First up my main project featuring Peppa Minty Mer, a new digi! Isn't she incredible cute? I fell in love instantly and started one of my most insane coloringsessions EVER! I have no idea how many hours I spent on her and the background- but it was soooo worth it!

I had great use of an old "Create And Learn" class for this coloring. I didnt wanted to make a total mess out of my beautiful coloring (I am sooo proud of this one!), so kept the design simple.

I enter Peppa Minty Mer to following challenges:

Crafts 4 Eternity : #245 Water

My second project is Pearl Lotus Syren, not a new one, but still not so old. A beautiful image that I colored mainly in black/white, but added some red details and skintone.

I embellished with some punched snowflakes from both white bazzill and vellum, and curled them up using a pen thats out of ink... I didnt find my real tool for this. Yes, I'm a messy one! Some red stickles in the center, heatembossed the sentiment with "Snowflake" and added bling. Finished!

I have this beautiful Fairy Butterfly to show you. Her name is Brietta, and she is a real pleasure to color! Look at her legs! And her wings! And her hair! And, and, and...!!! I fell in love with her instantly! She wasnt only beautiful, she called my name! If you ever experienced that you know what I mean :)

Brietta is colored up with Prismacolor Pencils in following colors:

Skin: Dark Brown, Henna, Peach, Light Peach
Hair: Black, Indigo Blue, Mediterranean Blue

Wings: Grass Green, True Green, White
Dress: Black, Magenta, Hot Pink

Entire image (except skin) is burnished using the colorless blender- this makes the colors pop and become a bit more bright and shiny :)

Winners will be announced on each blog by the end of the weekend, so be sure to click back through the hop on Monday 28th to see if your name is at the top of this post!

Winds of change

It's a new challenge over at the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog, and this time theme is

#67 Winds Of Change

So, show us something that reflects change of season :) No problem, here in Eastern Norway the trees have started changing colors, its not long before they all are covered in yellow, orange, red, browns. Its a beautiful time of the year (as long as it doesnt rain all the time), my favorite season!

I used one of the newer images from the shoppe for this challenge, Autumn Winds Rory. I just HAD to color her!

I made some clouds in the background

September Colouring Challenge

Pop over to Make It Colorful to find the challenge SHADES OF BLACK

Since I already had this little cutie printed I used her for this challenge.
Mini Gothilia Digi Stamp

Sometimes the idea is easy, and the doing a bit more difficult (yeah, my braincells all excited about being on this wonderful team had a hard time letting me focus on my creative process *lol*). But I went for it! For me, Mini Gothilia have a clumsy little "Did I do that?" expression on her face. So she accidently made some stars fall down... Wooops!

I used a punch on the white paper in the upper right corner so the black card base shows through. Then I punched the stars out from a grey bazzill, added more stars to the top and rest of them falling down.

Mini Gothilia is colored up with Prismacolor Pencils; White, Cool Grey 10%-90% and Black. "Woops!" is made on computer (in Word).

Thank you for popping by, and I would love a comment from YOU! Yes, you! :)

Chip- chip Chipmunk

Hi, a new post featuring a digi from FabrikaFantasy- this time I have used "Happy Chipmunk" to make a "just because"-card to a friend.

Such a happy face on this little fellow, he can make me SMILE anytime, just as the sentiment says. And since he is such a friendly fellow, why not let him hold a butterfly? Sentiment "Smile" made by using transparent Dymo, layered on Kraft.

I used Prismacolor pencils on Kraft and drew a white line around the entire image. I cut off the paper on the left side.

Wanna know more a about FabrikaFantasy?

Visit their blog for more inspiration, and join their Facebook page :) The digis from FabrikaFantasy are high quality and easy to color in any style you want. They even come with precolored images if you're not in coloring mood ;)

Birthday with TTPH

Hi, it's September already!
I have never experienced a month go by so fast as August did! I still try to catch my breath.

Over at Through The Purple Haze we have a new challenge for you and the theme is BIRTHDAY!

I have used a freebie called Cheryl from our sponsor this month. With the cocktail in her hand she is ready to be the center of the party!

I am so pleased with the purple color I managed to get for her dress! I have used a little piece of a scrap paper that has been in my way for quite some time, and a paper I used to protect my desk when I was distressing a diecut ages ago. So this is a true "use your scraps" card :) I made a double bow from a beautiful ribbon to go with the digi.

Our sponsor Zuri have a wide range of digis over at the SHOP and loads (and loads of loads!) of freebies over at the blog. Make sure to use a Zuri image to be in the draw for Winner/Top 3! And you have the entire month of September to get your project done and added to OUR CHALLENGE

Hope to see you soon!
