Outlawz Sketch (DT) Little Garden Sally from Art By Miran

New post for

Short post from me today, Internet playing games and my batch of patience are gone for the day :p

Our lovely sponsor had a freebie over at the facebookgroup- so I used it for my last sketch card for May; Little Garden Sally.
Art By Miran

And this weeks sketch;

The card is simple, most of my cards are simple *lol* Homemade flowers/rosettes (used seambinding ribbon), some pearls from Kort & Godt, a little flowerbling and a charm from stash.
DP used was from my box of mystery- I have no idea what it is.

I will add my list of Promarkers/Flexmarkers when I find my post-it note. I suspect a young cat ran off with it last night... Here he is, Nico - a sweet lovely boy I host for the local Animal Rescue/Protection group. He is everywhere, here in my daughters schoolbag...

Take care and stay safe all of you :)

Decorated notebook (DT, Through The Purple Haze)

Due to the nature of the weather conditions here, my time online is very limited. Lot of thunder and lightning, flooding and heavy rain. Im living close to a large river, and it has drowned our fields and now the water starts coming through the floor in the basement.

Welcome to a new week :) Its a double team challenge over at
and our theme for challenge #43...

With us as sponsors we have a long time favorite
and a first time sponsor, all the (digital) way from South Africa:

I had a play with "Gramps" from D4J and after coloring him he found his way to the front of a notebook I bought ages ago.

The tag was originally bright white, but with a little help of promarkers (Linen and Sandstone) its not white anylonger. I used the same markers on the small paperstrips (from a music notes DP) in the background. To make the tag pretty I added a ribbon that matched my colored digi (lucky with that one!) and some bakers twine.

For his trousers I tried a new technique. Well, what I remembered of it. I think its been 2 years since I saw the tutorial *lol* I used my darkest marker and made a criss cross pattern all over his trousers. Then I added the redbrown, new criss cross with the darkest, and then the lightest color to make worn out areas. Easy as that :)

I used a wooden button, and attached it to the notebook with twine after making holes in the notebooks cover. Voila, a notebook ready to give away to a elderly man :)

Skin: Coral, Oatmeal, Blush
Beard/hair: Ice Grey 1, Warm Grey 1
Green: Pesto, Marsh Green
Brown: Umber (criss cross pattern), Auburn, Sandstone
Rocking chair: Umber, Sandstone

Notebook (set of two) from 7 Gypsies
DP from Pion
Embellies: Bakers twine, ribbon and button from stash

Thanks for visiting, and remember to add a button to your project and join us over at TTPH :)

DT Lacy Sunshine; a little jewellery box with Myrtle

Hi to you all :)
I'm so sorry about late posting of my DT project for Lacy Sunshine - blame Mother Nature; flooding and a lot of thunder. Still we have dry feets, but our fields are under water.

Its time for challenge #34 over at Lacy Sunshine ;
Dies and/or punches

I decorated a little box from a jewellery shop, the paper on it was already embossed so I just started coloring Myrtle Diamond in the Rough. You can get her to special price in the shop, and through the loyalty program- check challenge post for more details.

Orange is not my go to color- but from time to time I do go against my nature... like now :)

I used a doily die from Cheery Lynn as a backing for the image, and found some already diecutted flourishes and leafs in my stash. Added two stems with lilies (or gladiolus?), a rose, some small bling flowers from stash and 3 different ribbons.

Promarkers/ flexmarkers used:
Skin: Nutmeg, Coral, Oatmeal, Blush, Light Fawn, Pastel Pink
Hair: Champagne, Sandstone, Umber
Blue: Midnight Blue, True Blue, Sky Blue
Green: Pesto, Marsh Green, Forest Green
Books: Midnight Blue, Sky Blue, Linen, Sandstone

#95 Anything Goes (Brown Sugar Challenge, DT) ; New cardfold

I noticed some cards around bloglandia that was pretty interesting some months ago and wanted to try it. I did not find a tutorial (what should I use as a search word?), but managed to find my way around after some destroyed papers *lol* Btw; It folds flat :)

Its time for a new challenge over at

The oppurtunity came along with this funny image called "Snow What Fun" from our sponsor Fresh Brewed Design!

Some more pics of my project:

As embellies I used 1" circle punch (thin line with black marker along the edges), MS snowflake punch, a metal flower and a pearl in the center. I used the black marker along all the edges of the white panels/ images.

Folded flat, measuring appr. 4 1/4" x 6"

Sorry aboyt the colors here, they are a bit pale. Say it this way: For the snow (as in snowmen, and lady) and noses I added Frosted Lace, for clothings Glossy Accent.

I found some of my Christmas stamps from Kort & Godt, and stamped them using Distress Ink Weathered Wood and Memento Rich Cocoa.

As coloring medium; my promarkers :)

I have to log off now, heavy thunderstorms here! And flood!

Thanks for looking, and stay safe!!

Hugs, Lisbeth

Birthday card (DT Just Inspirational)

Between thunderbolts and lightning, extreme heat and burning sun, AND heavy rain today, I finally manage to get my post up and running :)

Its Tuesday, and that means JIC has a new challenge for you

Our theme this week is BIRTHDAY, and I used a lovely image from our sponsor

Isnt she adorable? The image is called "Love stars"- so I made stars reappearing all over the card. The card measures 6 1/2" X 4 when folded. The edgepunch I used is from EK Succes- a punch I had forgotten all about untill my little one started to dig in a box.

The sentiment is made by using WordArt and it says "Congratulations" and printed out with dark pink and shadow- then colored with Shocking Pink.

Bazzill in dark pink/magenta, copy paper, Colorcopy for coloring.
EK Succes punch

Skin: Nutmeg, Coral, Oatmeal, Blush, Light Fawn, Pastel Pink
Hair: wooops... But Sandstone and Umber as the two darkest
Pink: Magenta, Pink Lobster, Shocking Pink, Frosted Pink
Yellow: Primrose, Buttercup, Mustard + Cool Grey on her shoes

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day :)

DT TTPH #42; Song inspiration - Cute, crafty, creative

Monday!! Wow, the last week went by in a hurry- I cant believe it! On the 17th we Norwegians celebrated our 200th National Day, a very busy day! I still have aching feets and really hurtful knees. But hey, we had sun, the kids had a great time and everything was as normal :)

The song we use as inspiration this week is

And we are sponsored by

and adorable
that provided us with some very cute images to use.
I played with Crafty Honeys- Painter :)

I had some helping hands this time, my 3 year old Thea. She loves helping, and "helping", in the craftroom. Im in the process of making a birthday calender, and since Thea has her birthday in October- of course we used the digi for that month :)

Not much supplies needed for this project;
previously diecutted letters from different alphabets
Distress Paint
Prismacolors and Promarkers
... and glue

Thanks for looking, and please join us in this challenge :)

The Outlawz;Sketch DT; Flaming red hair with Art By Miran

Hi all:) A day late, but hey; I'm here now with this weeks sketch from

I had a break last week, so I start with announcing our amazing sponsor for May:

Art By Miran
that gives our lucky winner 3 digis!

And here is the sketch:

I had this beautiful image from earlier, its called Girl and Rose

I colored her with my promarkers, but since I had several images in front of me and colored a little bit here and a little bit there, I only remember the skin and hair combos. Skin: Nutmeg, Coral, Oatmeal, Blush, Light Fawn, Pastel Pink. Hair: Walnut, Henna, Firebrick, Burnt Orange, Orange. After coloring I used my craftknife to cut away those tiny parts not being colored.

I thought I had found my white Sakura Glaze pen, but it turned out to be the white Sakura Souffle pen... I promise; it behaves way different from the Glaze pen! I could not put this on a card, but I loved the hair soooo much so I knew I had to keep her. So this lovely girl ended up in my Birthday calender, to remind me to DOUBLE CHECK my pens ;)

My embellies are simple; Tattered Flowers die from Tim Holtz, and some small flower punches from EK Succes. And some drops of dark blue stickles around the flowers. I also used a little ribbon around the images matting. Dark blue + natural bazzill as cardstock.

Well, ladies! Head over to The Outlawz, join the community (if youre not already a member) and play along :) My teamies have some lovely creations to share as well :)

See ya!!!
