Outlawz Sketch (DT): All tangled up!

Welcome to a new sketch challenge with The Outlawz!

 This is my 4th card for the Outlawz, and I have been looking forward to use this sketch all month long- I really love it! What do you think?
My life has been a roller coaster so far this year, and it shows no sign of stopping. So I choosed an image from our fabolous sponsor

that might as well be myself in disguise... "Tangled Up". So this one is personal *lol* :)

I wanted to have some fun with this sketch, so I made a easy cardfold that reminds of the Gatefold folding. The card folds flat by the help of two small magnets that I placed under the DP. I used a metallic button and a diecutted flower as embellies.

I still have to add panels with sentiment on the "gates"- but since I don't know what this card will be used for I leave them blank for the moment.

At last, a close up of the image;

Hope you would like to join us in this sketch challenge,
and thanks for stopping by :)

Just Inspirational (DT): Hearts and ribbons

Hello :)

Its a new Team A week over at
Just Inspirational Challenges
and this week we are sponsored by lovely
East Wind Shop
Theme is Hearts and Ribbons, and here is my take:

I wanted to try a Bendi Fold card this time, and I'm pretty sure I will do it again soon :) I have used the beautiful "Sensual Flower Girl" from our sponsor. I made her blush a little extra, making her daring and shy at once. ...
I have used a pale blue seambinding ribbon and a lace from stash. I used the negative from a heartpunch to color the pale blue hearts straight to cardstock. The image is fuzzy cut, and layered on a frame from Spellbinder. I found some diecuts laying around and decided to use them.

I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the borders in front, and added a diecutted heart from Lifestyle Craft.

Thanks for stopping by, and please visit my teamies as well :) And hey, remember to join the challenge :)

Babycard (DT Outlawz)

Wiii! New sketch over at The Outlawz, and this time I made a babycard. The image was colored in at the same time as I colored my riding princess (see post for 5th Feb), so if the pinkish color looks familiar... Now you know the reason *lol*

And Make It Crafty is with us as sponsor, so be sure to join us :)

Here is the sketch of the week;

And my take;

My oldest cat, Ronja (8 years old) came jumping- so all my layering of the oval layers got a bit offset. But does it matter? Not for Ronja- who would like to announce her very first pawmade layering of oval shapes.... And I couldnt tear it off to reposition it. Instant drying glue has that side effect... Lesson for me: dont use quick dry glue when a cat is nearby...

Thanks for stopping by :)

Through The Purple Haze: #29 Embossing (DT)

Hellooooo everyone :) New week, new challenge over at

And this week we are sponsored by
My Mums Craft Shop
who gives our lucky winner a £10 coupon at the shop, so make sure to play along with us for a chance to win:)

Theme is EMBOSSING, and I went mainly for the warm version...
This card I made for my father in law, he turned 70 years in February

This is a Centerstep card, a quick and easy way to make a decorative card. The image is a black and white sketch, colored with chalks. Added faux stitches around the edges with white Sakura Glaze pen.

The wavy diecut in front is a border die from Memory Box. I diecutted it twice and layered a bit offset. The chain, that holds the anchor, is actually a diecut from All Occations Dies. I only used white and Kraft cardstock, the blue color for the sidepanels is made with Distress Ink Weathered Wood.

The letters are written in Word and printed, punched out using 1/2" circle punch, then layered on Kraft- and fuzzy cutted. Glued to the card using 3D gluedots. The sentiment on Kraft is a rubberstamp, heatembossed with black embossing powder. Its more embossing here, maybe you can see it in the pic below:
There are some Seafoam-embossing powder used on the ribbon and on the waves. Not easy to see, sorry.

Well, thats it for now, hope you liked my maritime card, and that you join TTPH this week :)

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Sorry with a late blogpost, but I have spent some days in Oslo- following my dad to hospital. Got home earlier today, and finally able to do my post for
The Outlawz

Our sponsor this month is
Make It Crafty

And here is the sketch of the week

My take;

This one was a fight! Not the sketch, but pulling the card together. So much going on in my private life for the moment. Coloring keeps me occupied for a while, but I'm a bit restless when it comes to actually make the card. Don't get me wrong, I love cardmaking!
I found some really old Basic Grey papers, I think its June Bug collection, and I made my card with them.

I used the very cute Foxi Sprite from Make It Crafty as image this time, she is so adorable! I diecutted the pattern papers with Lifestyle Crafts doily heart dies. A diecut of Tattered Lace die "Fan" is also used.

Would like to join following challenges:

DT Just Inspirational Challenge : Ladies

New challenge with team A over at
Just Inspirational Challenges

and we are sponsored by Emma Canning over at
FlatFriends Boutique
that offers our winner 4 images!!

Theme is LADIES

And I have used the digi "Proom Day" from our sponsor for this giftbox for a girl for her confirmation. I printed the image 3 times, and colored different parts on each of them. Her face is the second layer. Her hair is the 3rd, and the flower is the 4th... Used foamdots between the layers to make it 3D.

The box measures 5" x 5" (inside) and the lid is a little bit larger. I used DP from Autentique and a doily die from Cheery Lynn. The ribbon was giftwrapping ribbon from my Secret Santa over at TTPH.

The sentiment is stamped with Distress Ink "Salty Ocean", and then clear embossed.

Close up of the layers:

I join following challenges:

The Outlawz Sketch Challenge

Maybe some of you have figured it out already, but in case you didn't;
I have joined the Sketch team over at
(Just to let you know: If you are new to the site, please JOIN the group before trying to log in...
Trust me, it doesn't work the other way around *lol*)

And today a new Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz is posted!!!
All month, we will be sponsored by the awesome Make It Crafty!!

And here is the sketch:

Working with sketches is not what I usually do, so this will be fun eh? Every week from now on :D
I'm also new to Make It Crafty images, so I really had fun challenging myself. I have used not one digi, but two! Yeah, why not play around big time and do some digi merging for the first time as well.
And here is my result (this image is a bit dark):

I had a great time coloring in the image! The card is 6" x 7", as I printed out the image a bit to large... well, if I should have a chance to color all the small details I had to ;) I used my Promarkers, and my first colorchoice was March Hare from a Limited Edition set as my lightest color. There are 3 colors all over the image, exept skintone and her eyes.

I used some Frantage (pink) and white UTEE along the edges. The white dots over the image is also UTEE- melted straight on paper.

Close up for the flower arrangement;
The largest flower is treated with Ice Resin, it adds such a glass-like look to paperflowers :)

Well, thats all :)
Please come and join us over at the Outlawz to see the amazing cards the DT have to show you, and we cant wait to see what you come up with!
